Detailed information

Product detailed description

This Uranium Glass Art Deco rectangular bowl with a seated nude lady in bath was produced in Bohemia using original period molds created by H. Hoffmann around 1930. It reflects the Art Deco fascination with the female form, where sculptural glass objects combined elegance, sensuality, and strong decorative presence.

The seated nude lady is rendered with smooth sculptural clarity, featuring softly modeled anatomy, calm facial expression, and flowing contours that integrate directly into the rectangular bowl. The bathing motif enhances the sense of intimacy and refinement, while the balanced composition demonstrates Hoffmann’s mastery of figurative glass design. The work shows clear influence from French Art Deco aesthetics, particularly the sculptural language associated with René Lalique.

Made of blue uranium glass, the bowl shows a characteristic green glow under ultraviolet light, confirming its uranium glass composition. This rectangular bowl is a highly collectible Art Deco piece that combines figurative sculpture and classic uranium glass craftsmanship.
