Product detailed description
This yellow uranium glass vase was produced in Bohemia from original period molds created by H. Hoffmann around 1930, during the height of the Art Deco movement. It embodies the sculptural clarity and geometric refinement characteristic of early 20th century European decorative glass.
The block form features a stylized female nude rendered in relief, demonstrating strong French Art Deco influence. Hoffmann’s design language emphasizes clean geometry, smooth transitions of light across the surface, and balanced proportions, while remaining distinctly Bohemian in execution.
Made of yellow uranium glass, commonly referred to as vaseline glass, the vase exhibits vivid green fluorescence under UV light, confirming its uranium glass composition. The interplay between the solid rectangular structure and the softly modeled figure enhances its sculptural presence and collector appeal.
