Detailed information

Product detailed description

This yellow uranium glass vase was produced in Bohemia from original period molds created by H. Hoffmann around 1930, during the height of the Art Deco movement. The design reflects the sculptural ambition and architectural clarity characteristic of European decorative glass of the early 20th century.

The body of the vase is encircled by four distinct female figures rendered in high relief, each presented in a different pose. Rather than simple repetition, Hoffmann created a dynamic narrative sequence around the circumference of the vase, giving the composition movement and sculptural depth. The elongated forms, flowing drapery, and integration of the figures within a geometric framework demonstrate strong French Art Deco influence, while remaining distinctly Bohemian in execution.

Made of yellow uranium glass, commonly referred to as vaseline glass, the vase exhibits vivid green fluorescence under UV light, confirming its uranium glass composition. The variation between the four figures enhances the visual interest from every angle, transforming the piece into a fully three-dimensional sculptural object.
