Product detailed description
This uranium glass Art Deco Bacchantes vase was produced in Bohemia from original molds associated with the 1930–1939 period. The composition shows a ring of dancing Bacchantes — classical female figures — modeled in deep sculptural relief inspired by the Lalique-style tradition connected with H. Hoffmann’s Bohemian glasswork. The yellow uranium glass reacts powerfully under UV light, creating a bright neon glow that highlights the movement and depth of the figures.
The bodies are rendered with smooth Deco contours and softly defined anatomy, forming a continuous sculptural frieze around the vessel. The faceted base and rim catch light and create reflections that emphasize the rhythmic design.
Although made from historical molds, the vase offers crisp relief and a satin finish typical of quality Bohemian press-molded glass. Its size, figural decoration and strong fluorescence make it a desirable Art Deco display piece for uranium glass and Lalique-inspired collectors.
