Detailed information

Product detailed description

This Art Deco Speed Girl hood ornament was produced in Bohemia from original period molds designed by H. Hoffmann during the 1930s. The dynamic female figure with flowing hair captures the speed, elegance, and forward motion characteristic of Art Deco automotive sculpture.

The sculptural form reflects strong French Art Deco influence, with streamlined contours and aerodynamic movement typical of classic car mascots of the interwar period. Hoffmann’s modeling shows clear inspiration associated with René Lalique–era design, while remaining distinctly Bohemian in execution.

Made of blue uranium glass and mounted on a black glass base, the hood ornament displays a vivid green UV glow under blacklight, confirming its uranium glass composition. The contrast between the glowing figure and the dark base enhances the sculptural impact, making this piece a highly desirable collectible for Art Deco car mascot and uranium glass collectors.
