Product detailed description
This 1930s H. Hoffmann Art Deco perfume bottle is crafted from alexandrite (neodymium) glass and features a beautifully sculpted bird forming the entire stopper. The bird sits upright with finely detailed wings, feathers, and a softly rounded silhouette, all executed in a satin frosted finish. The body of the bottle displays a richly carved relief scene featuring a second bird nestled among flowers and large stylized leaves, creating a lush, organic Art Deco composition. The deep relief work adds strong dimensionality, and the frosted surface enhances every sculpted detail.
Made from true alexandrite (neodymium) glass, this piece exhibits a remarkable color-changing effect: in natural daylight the glass appears purple, but under strong white or artificial light it transforms into a vivid blue. Crafted in Bohemia using ORIGINAL antique molds from the 1930–1939 period, the bottle reflects the refined sculptural craftsmanship typical of early Bohemian Art Deco glass. A distinctive and expressive design, ideal for collectors of H. Hoffmann, neodymium glass, and detailed Art Deco perfume bottles.
